New High School Should be Top Priority

Submitted 3/21

In the March 15 issue of the Northeast Booster, Councilman Gardina says of the parking issue at Perry Hall High School, "we need to look at the problems in a comprehensive way."

The "comprehensive way" is to build a new high school that permanently solves the overcrowding problem!

When I attended Perry Hall High School, there was a similar parking problem when the new wing was being built and some of the existing parking lot was used for construction. The solution at that time was to add on to the parking area, but the enrollment has gotten so large that the only permanent solution now is to build another school.

Community leaders support a new high school, and it should be top priority for the new group of elected officials elected this November.
