Hickey School Kudos
Submitted: 7/1/05
For many months now, Delegate Joe Boteler and Delegate John Cluster have been advocating for Governor Ehrlich to close the prison-like Hickey School located in Cub Hill. Thankfully, Governor Ehrlich agreed.
For many years, the residents of Cub Hill have had to endure the fear of having young criminals scatter through their neighborhood after the many "break-outs".
It is important that the state establish a Task Force of community leaders to join with elected leaders in developing an open process for the creation of a long-term plan for this property that includes adequate community participation....
Kudos to Delegate Cluster and Delegate Boteler for their hard work on behalf of our community for encouraging this decision by the Governor. They understand the needs of our community and clearly are working hand-in-hand with Governor Ehrlich to serve their constituents.
